This Week, Same Old
Not much has gone on since my last post. We are continually doing the same routine and not a whole lot varies from that. As for our new puppy Abbi Grace is allergic to her so she went back from where we got her from on Friday. This past weekend we went to an Indoor Waterpark called Kalahari. We had a lot of fun. Addison went on the wave rider and all the slides that he was tall enough to go on. We got back on Sunday afternoon and then went to Awana and continued with our noral life. I was really reflecting this week on how thankful I am this Thanksgiving. God has and continues to bless us everyday. We have been blessed. I am still not doing the best at keeping up with my house, and I am always behind. The mess is always there and I often wish that I had a maid, or didn't work. But that is the season I am in now. Well I am off to finish my shift in another hour and have lots to do.

Wow, it's been almost a month since I have written anything. It is amazing how much has changed in one month. We had Halloween and the kids had a great time, and got too much candy. Adam also got a job. He is not working for Morton Salt, which has a mine right on Lake Erie. We also added a puppy to our family, her name is Saydie. She is a yellow lab and full of energy. I have been busy working and trying to keep up with the house and kids. Today Adam got in a car accident on his way home from work. He is fine, thankfully. We took the car into the shop to get it fixed. It should be ready in early December. I hope to post pictures soon, once I figure out how to.

My Broken Heart
Well today Addison broke my heart. He is getting so big so fast. I thought that we could catch a movie together. A little one on one time. He was all for it until I called it a "date". After I said that word he went upstairs and said that He couldn't date his Mommy. My heart broke, my little man is growing up before my eyes. To sum up today if you have kids treasure them they grow so quick. I'm going to try to surprise him next time and not mention anything about a date. I hope he doesn't want to date 10 to 15 years from now.

Family fun
Tonight we had a really fun time. We had pizza and then went to the YMCA to swim. Addison is doing really well in the pool and can now swim underwater for a short distance. Abbi Grace thinks that she can swim on her own and will leap right out of the hands of whoever is holding her. They have lots of squirting toys at the pool and we spent lots of time spraying water on each other. I am really enjoying our kids we are so blessed to have them. After the pool we went to Nana and Papa's house for brownies and Wii. Adam and I got home tucked the kids in and could help but say how much we enjoyed the night.

Well today so far has not gone as expected at all. At 8:45 just as I was getting ready to leave for ladies Bible study at church the phone rang. Someone was calling off because they were sick. So I packed the kids up at headed to work. Addison was not happy. He wanted to go to chruch and play with his friend Jeremy. So once I got to work Addison preceeded to tell me at the top of his lungs how unhappy he was to be there instead of at church with his friends. To make a long story short, Adam ended up coming to get him and took him home. Now that I am finished with work and am home and looking at the continual mess that my house is. I don't know about anyone else but I am constantly struggling to keep it the way I want it. Which is perfect. I often think that I am the only mom who struggles with this, who knows. Well instead of blogging about it I am off to clean.

Do we compare too much
Tonight at MOPS I was totally convicted. The topic was on how we as moms are constantly comparing. Our speaker was Marla Taviano, a christian mom and author. We all understand what comparing goes on daily. You know "I wish I could do... like she does", or "I wish I didn't have... and had... like she does". I could go on and on. Though the other women in my group didn't really have any comments about it I thought to myself that often sounds like me. Through certain circumstances recently I have learned to do with much less than before, however, it is easy to think that if circumstances were not the way they were how much more content I would be. So I have made a commitment to the Lord to be content with what I have and not for what I wish I had. To not look at those around me to what I do have that they don't and what they have that I don't. Here is a list of 8 things to do when you are tempted to judge or compare
1. Fix your eyes on Jesus
2. Remember God created you and loves you for who you are
3. Remember God created her and loves her and tells you not to judge
4. Make the most of what you've been given
5.Spend your time delighting in the Lord
6. Get some perspective
7. Count your blessings
8.Rejoice when God blesses others

Me a Blogger?
Well I am really not sure who first got me stuck on facebook but it is through there that I have really found the need to blog. I am not the most computer literate person so I am not sure if I can keep up so I give it a try. Bear with me.
